Schwägalp-Säntis Suspension Railway

With its 2,502 metres, the Säntis mountain is without a doubt the landmark of the region around Lake Constance.

From its summit the panoramic views reach across six countries.

The suspension railway runs daily every 30 minutes (on the hour and on the half hour) and, if required, with additional rides in between. Discounts are available with the Half-Fare travelcard, GA travelcard or for groups of 10 or more people, whilst the ‘Bodensee Erlebniskarte’ (Lake Constance Experience Card) grants you free transport. Large panoramic restaurants, sun terraces and observation halls invite you to stay for a while. The Schwägalp valley station is a mere 45 minutes drive away from Lake Constance. In addition, the Säntis maintain can easily be reached by Postbus, as the Postbus station is located directly adjacent to the valley station. Timetable
