Herisau Museum

The Herisau Museum is Appenzell Ausserrhoden’s cultural history museum.

The museum offers fascinating insights into the industrial heritage of the canton, which was dominated by the textile industry.
Other topics include knights and castles, transport, mills, the health-care system, education, living in the region as well as the writer Robert Walser (1878–1956).

Annually changing special exhibitions, special arrangements for school classes.
