Marksmanship Museum

The Marksmanship Museum is located on the top floor of the grand Zellweger Palace on the village square.

Here, historic weapons, trophies and the insignia of the Ausserrhoden marksmanship clubs are preserved and documented. The main part of the collection, which comprises more than 2,000 objects, is made up of sport, military and police guns. A carbine made in Trogen and special indoor guns are among the most interesting objects on display. The exhibition also shows numerous beautifully crafted flags made by women in the region. The museum serves as the archive for all documents of the Ausserrhoden marksmanship clubs.
