SILVER WORKMANSHIP IN PERFECTION

The craft of silversmithing is based on centuries of experience in working with silver. Many basic craft techniques from the past are still used in this profession today. However, silversmiths have their finger on the pulse of the times and make use of the achievements made in precious metal technology.

Traditional costume and filigree jewellery is made by hand in the traditional manner. The focus is on the magnificent traditional costumes of eastern Switzerland. An example of this is the Sennenuhr chain for the Appenzeller or also for the Toggenburg men's costume.

9107 - CENTRE FOR CRAFTS AND ART

9107 - Centre for Handicrafts and Art offers Urnäscher artisans a platform to present themselves and their work. It combines modern handicraft and art in an attractive way. There is hardly any other place that is shaped by tradition and customs as much as Urnäsch. Thus, the artisans are firmly anchored in the region and cultivate their craft with great attention to detail and heart and soul.
